Resource Centre

We hope to obtain the use of Beaufort Cottage, a building standing close to the Abbey. Our broad aims for the use of this building are:

• to provide a setting for education and religious information for visitors to the Abbey and to members of the Friends of Our Lady of Tintern
• to provide a point of focus for those particularly moved by, and wishing to know more about, Mary mother of Jesus.

We aim to develop a range of resources encompassing training and teaching, using seminars, quiet days and retreats and helping those who have walked around the Abbey, perhaps seeing the statue of Our Lady, and would like to spend a short while discussing the experience.

We hope that the centre will also be used by other groups such as history societies, re-enactment groups and local people who wish to foster a general interest in the history of the place in which they live.
